i am working on a dresser for my mother who really wants me to work my art onto it.
so to paint a dresser and to make it look smoother, what are all the items i need.
what kind of paint, so do i need buffer or sanding paper, and maybe wood puddy?
its all scratched up with some pieces that split, what can i do to improve this dress into a beautiful piece of furniture.
it has 4 drawers and 2 top single side bye side drawers.
then the surface is an off white coated wood that looks to be... well not sure what it is....im guessing partical wood...lol
but a soft pink with baby blue flowers printed in the corner tops would do nicely.
but for the cracks and splits how do i cover that or repair.
any ideas.Need dresser advice? how to fix it nice?
if its warped up and cracked like the top layer if thats what you mean then you'll have to Trim the lose wood off then fill the holes with wood filler .if its just cracked like split just fill with wood filler and sand dry,if there are scratches on the surface and you want to keep the wood finish you can buy a finishing kit at the hardware store but if you are painting it just fill the cracks and scratches with wood putty let dry,and paint like anything else the more time you put in it the better it'll turn out use 120 grit sandpaper
