i agree with keeping a good conditioner on it, but in my opinion wearing a swim cap will definetly keep down on the damage and breakage that occurs with ethnic hair breakage from the chlorine. As african-americans, we do not need to shampoo our hair daily. This strips the natural oils from our hair. That is why we do it once or twice every two weeks. If you will be in the pool frequently, I suggest the swim cap.I am training for a triathelon that includes swimming.Any advice on how to keep a black girls hair conditioned
Condition it before you get in the pool, it'll act as a wall between your hair and the chlorine...don't wash it out y'know, just put it on your hair before you get in the pool. Don't be afraid to really get it all through your hair.I am training for a triathelon that includes swimming.Any advice on how to keep a black girls hair conditioned
