She plays with the min pin, and of course her paw is as big as her head! Im scared she may accidentally hurt her? Should i put my min-pin in a crate?... i cant do that all day though, and my golden retriever is getting too jealous... Aaaah! What do i do??? Why do you have a six week old pup? They should be with mom until eight weeks or older!
Definitely keep them separated unless you can supervise. One in one room, one in the other. Min Pin pups are highly fragile. When they do play, then make sure both dogs are corrected for behavior - if the big one is too rough, remove him until he calms down. If the Min Pin is nippy or egging the bigger dog on then remove that one until he calms down.
You don't have to carry the dog all over the house - that's just spoiling it and could create problems in the future. Yes you can keep the pup in a crate - just bring it out frequently for potty and exercise. You should watch the Dog Whisperer. Dogs have a way of working things out, however, I would put any 6-week-old puppy in a crate if I wasn't watching her. If your 6-month-old is playing rough, do you say ';stop';, or ';shame';? I had a ferret that would pull my shelties hair if the sheltie got too rough. Sometimes they work things out for themselves. Your nerves could be making the issue worse. I would correct any bad behavior from either dog, as dogs want to please you, and they just need some guidence some times as to what pleases you, and what behaviors do not please you. Both these dogs are young enough to train.
That is a risky combo.......You need to NEVER leave them alone....yea, I would get a crate. They may eventually get along but you should have waited until the Retreiver was a well behaved adult to welcome a small puppy. A min pin is VERY fraglile and will get hurt, even if the Retriever doesnt MEAN too....

Any advice as to how to get out of second semester marching band...?
ok, so i joined marching band (percussion) for first semester of school and i hate it. but i promised to go through it until the season was over. but my mom signed me up for second semester without asking me. any advice how to get out of it? im not trying to be a bratt. but i only promised to do it the first semester. and i REALLY hate it.Any advice as to how to get out of second semester marching band...?
Do you get credits at your school for marching band or is it an extracurricular activity? If you get credits you will have to get your mother, the marching band teacher, and your counslor all to agree you can get out of it. Start be going to the counslor and telling he you don't like marching band. If this is an exracurricular activity ask your mom if you can stop after the first semester and if she agrees go to the marching band teacher and tell him you arn't going to be in marching band second semester because you decided you don't really like it or that you decided to do something else. It should be really simple to get out of it if your mom agrees.Any advice as to how to get out of second semester marching band...?

Right now they are ';on a break'; because he was talking to another friend who needed his advice on a problem she was having and because he has been in that situation he was helping her out. well after they were done talking and got up to leave the girl kissed him and my best friend pushed her away and told her he had a gf but the girl he was dating wouldnt listen to his side of the story so told him they needed a break. I have watched so many spanish soap operas, its not even funny, but they kind of teach you a lesson about relationships. In one there is this woman who says ';A man only looks through the eyes of the woman he loves'; meaning love is blind. What you have to do now is just tell him how you feel, which you already did. In my childhood and young age I was a nerd/ So I ve very little of phisical work and my body became unattractive/ I mean im not really overweighted but my shoulders are not wide while compare to my hips/ I ve nonmusuular weak body (Im enough tall yet -- 1m90sm) and wide hips but very weak arms/ When i look into the mirror i understand how nonattractive I am/

hit the gym or chceck out any bodybuilding site online and they will have more excercizes than you ever could dream of doing, take a protein shake or something too it will help your muscles grow faster. do lots of cardio also to burn the fat. you want to be taking in about 1-1.5x your body weight in grams of protein. ex. you weigh 165lbs you want 165 grams of protein daily at the minimum.
patience my frnd patience...........27 is quite a gr8 age 2 begin working out....u say that u want 2 look attractive,there is one way.....join the gym....this is where men with the bodies of greek gods r born....u could begin with some lat pulldowns and pull ups and also some shoulder presses..this will make ur shoulders broader.......also do some bicep curls and tricep push downs with a weight that allows u 2 do not more that 6 repetitions without spoiling ur form.......if by some reason u cant join the gym soon don't worry........do 100 pushups,100 squats.100 crunches ,20 pullups and 8 minutes cardio daily.........u should do these in sets with little to no rest in between.....also increase the repetitions of pushups,squats,crunches by 50 every 3-4 weeks and pullups by 10 every 3-4 weeks........also don't expect serious results in a week or two......sculpting a god's body takes time.........so be patient and i assure u u will get the body and the gal of ur dreams..........also these exercises with help ur body become more proportionate and u will get that killer V-Taper that gals die for

I have big issue on communicating and relating to people. I have few good friends, but i feel isolated from them. It's feel awful that everyone is invited to do this and that and I was left alone, not even consider. I tries to talk to people and open myself little more each time. I even listen and ask people to talk about themselves, but when i have a conversation with someone, it is always dull, short, and awkward. I can't seem to related to people at all. I can't even find someone with same interest as me. How could i be good-to-know type of guy and have people talk to me? Ok well I am living in a realy wonderful .apartment. where no kids or pets were wanted before I moved in, but my landlord thinks I am responsible enough to take care of an animal and he is allowing a cat.. now, I am thrilled, but at the same time, nervous.
Ive had cats in the past, never multiple at a time, just one, and some of them wouldnt touch the scratching posts and would prefer to use my couch. I also seem to recall a couple of them loved to stretch in the windows and claw up my screens... this wasnt a huge deal before since I lived in a dump that needed so much work anyway, but now that I am out of college and have a career, I can afford so much better and its important that I keep it in good condtion, as I dont want to be replacing everything.
I will be getting an older cat. Kittens are tons of fun, but there also tons of trouble! lol. I need advice on getting her to use the scratching post rather than my couch or even CARPETS. An older cat will certainly save you some trouble. For one thing, unlike a kitten, any cat that isn't maladjusted will already have clean habits and not poop or pee on your carpet. It might, if it is upset or for some reason doesn't like the environment and wants to get the heck out of there.
Love your cat and feed it. Easy peasy. Cats are very low maintenance.
Okay - the scratching issue: As far as the cat is concerned, it is no longer your house, it is the cat's territory. The cat tolerates you because you are the meal ticket. What works is those cardboard scratching boxes laced with catnip that you can buy real cheap at the pet store. That *might* save your furniture. If your cat still prefers your couch to the scratchers, then more drastic measures are called for, like a spray for your couch whose scent cats hate and avoid the area.
That a cat likes you is a great compliment. They will choose whom they like and since they hold humans in contemptible regard, you should feel flattered that they consider you an exception.
And when they are ready for affection, they are incredibly sweet. They have their own special way of connecting with you, and they are quite telepathic.

I agree with the squirt bottle thing. My cats were trained from the beginning that water is ';punishment';. I use fresh step litter, and feed my cats purina one food. the scratching posts they use are smartykat super scratchers (they are cardboard covered in catnip in a box, basically.) I've never had bugs in my cats' food...but we do live in the desert, so we don't get many bugs period.

There are sprays you can get to deter your cat from scratching up your furniture. Also Catnip spray may help it adjust to using the scratching post. Pieces of lattice can keep your kitty from getting to your screens. Just put in inside the window frame when you have the windows open. A small tack or two on each side will hold it in place.
I have a feeder for my cat and never get bugs in the food. I also have a waterer so I don't have to keep checking on that either. I feed my cat indoor cat food. There are several brands now that offer that.
I use a clumping litter (Tidy Cats) for multiple cats even tho I only have one cat and a covered cat box. The reasons, the litter doesn't start to smell as fast if you aren't a scooper (and I'm not) and the covered box helps keep the litter from being slung everywhere.
I also have carpet pieces under the feeder and waterer and in front of the cat box. This makes clean up a tad easier if your cat likes to scratch things into the food bowl. (mine did that when we had a dog that would eat her food. It was her way of ';hiding'; her food from the dog.
I'd also get her some catnip toys as well as this ';thing'; that looks like a big donut with a ball inside. It will keep the cat entertained while you are away from home.
the only thing you can really do to keep a cat scratching at the post and no where else is either get a cat that is already trained to do so, or be willing to deal with some ';accidents'; while training the cat. when the cat scratches where it shouldn't you need to swat his butt or spray with water (some cats water doesn't work, like mine... i used to spray him and he'd sit there and just get soaked) (now don't hit hard just enough to catch its attention that it is doing wrong) then bring him over to the scratching post... also reward him when he does use the post... another option is to get him declawed. I suggest tidy cat litter, it seems one of the best for keeping oder down, but doesn't cause sickness in cats (some can cause sickness if injested and yes, cats can and will accidently injest litter) I also suggest Purina food for cat or dog, there are many that are good, but purina is cheaper and still good for your pets... it really is very hightly recommended by vets... Another suggestion i have heard is you should have 1 more litter box than you do cats... so if you have 2 cats, 3 litter boxes... this keeps messes in the litter not on the floor. Otherwise cats are pretty easy to take care of. Do you already have a cat in mind? I am looking to lose one of mine (personality conflict with my new baby) and he is 8 years old, already well trained... just not too lovey until you get to know him... he is... for lack of a better word, shy around strangers... if you are interested let me know... its hard to find a shy cat a home. :)

Ive had cats in the past, never multiple at a time, just one, and some of them wouldnt touch the scratching posts and would prefer to use my couch. I also seem to recall a couple of them loved to stretch in the windows and claw up my screens... this wasnt a huge deal before since I lived in a dump that needed so much work anyway, but now that I am out of college and have a career, I can afford so much better and its important that I keep it in good condtion, as I dont want to be replacing everything.

An older cat will certainly save you some trouble. For one thing, unlike a kitten, any cat that isn't maladjusted will already have clean habits and not poop or pee on your carpet. It might, if it is upset or for some reason doesn't like the environment and wants to get the heck out of there.
Love your cat and feed it. Easy peasy. Cats are very low maintenance.
Okay - the scratching issue: As far as the cat is concerned, it is no longer your house, it is the cat's territory. The cat tolerates you because you are the meal ticket. What works is those cardboard scratching boxes laced with catnip that you can buy real cheap at the pet store. That *might* save your furniture. If your cat still prefers your couch to the scratchers, then more drastic measures are called for, like a spray for your couch whose scent cats hate and avoid the area.
That a cat likes you is a great compliment. They will choose whom they like and since they hold humans in contemptible regard, you should feel flattered that they consider you an exception.
And when they are ready for affection, they are incredibly sweet. They have their own special way of connecting with you, and they are quite telepathic.

I agree with the squirt bottle thing. My cats were trained from the beginning that water is ';punishment';. I use fresh step litter, and feed my cats purina one food. the scratching posts they use are smartykat super scratchers (they are cardboard covered in catnip in a box, basically.) I've never had bugs in my cats' food...but we do live in the desert, so we don't get many bugs period.

There are sprays you can get to deter your cat from scratching up your furniture. Also Catnip spray may help it adjust to using the scratching post. Pieces of lattice can keep your kitty from getting to your screens. Just put in inside the window frame when you have the windows open. A small tack or two on each side will hold it in place.
I have a feeder for my cat and never get bugs in the food. I also have a waterer so I don't have to keep checking on that either. I feed my cat indoor cat food. There are several brands now that offer that.
I use a clumping litter (Tidy Cats) for multiple cats even tho I only have one cat and a covered cat box. The reasons, the litter doesn't start to smell as fast if you aren't a scooper (and I'm not) and the covered box helps keep the litter from being slung everywhere.
I also have carpet pieces under the feeder and waterer and in front of the cat box. This makes clean up a tad easier if your cat likes to scratch things into the food bowl. (mine did that when we had a dog that would eat her food. It was her way of ';hiding'; her food from the dog.
I'd also get her some catnip toys as well as this ';thing'; that looks like a big donut with a ball inside. It will keep the cat entertained while you are away from home.
the only thing you can really do to keep a cat scratching at the post and no where else is either get a cat that is already trained to do so, or be willing to deal with some ';accidents'; while training the cat. when the cat scratches where it shouldn't you need to swat his butt or spray with water (some cats water doesn't work, like mine... i used to spray him and he'd sit there and just get soaked) (now don't hit hard just enough to catch its attention that it is doing wrong) then bring him over to the scratching post... also reward him when he does use the post... another option is to get him declawed. I suggest tidy cat litter, it seems one of the best for keeping oder down, but doesn't cause sickness in cats (some can cause sickness if injested and yes, cats can and will accidently injest litter) I also suggest Purina food for cat or dog, there are many that are good, but purina is cheaper and still good for your pets... it really is very hightly recommended by vets... Another suggestion i have heard is you should have 1 more litter box than you do cats... so if you have 2 cats, 3 litter boxes... this keeps messes in the litter not on the floor. Otherwise cats are pretty easy to take care of. Do you already have a cat in mind? I am looking to lose one of mine (personality conflict with my new baby) and he is 8 years old, already well trained... just not too lovey until you get to know him... he is... for lack of a better word, shy around strangers... if you are interested let me know... its hard to find a shy cat a home. :)

Girls need you expert advice!!! how to grab her attention?
I'm a college sophomore and I work with this beautiful high school senior. shes a really nice girl and a bit quiet but not shy. I go out of my way to talk to her everyday but I don't think she notices it. I'm a nice guy, but I can't think of anything to say to her besides us bashing where we work. SO for all those high school girls out there... what could I say to you that would grab your attention and make you think of me.

My friend has a 5 month old baby. She seemed ';appalled'; that I let my 9 month old watch Sesame Street and another show called ';Its a Big Big World';. She said she will never let her child watch tv at all. My daughter doesn't watch the whole programs, just the parts with Elmo (she absolutely loves elmo) and when they sing on Big Big World. We do not let her watch any other TV (actually, she is not interested in anything else). She loves to read, listen to music, paint, we go to the park and play a lot all day long. My friend basically told me that my daughter is going to not grow up correctly. I also lightly throw my daughter in the air (i do it gently and she doesn't leave my arms), which my friend gasped when I did that and she also about hit the roof when I lightly patted my daughter and her daughter on the head because of their soft spot. Take what your friend says with a pinch of salt. Just because you are a new parent does not mean you dont know what your doing. You know your child best. Limited TV does not hurt kids and some programs are very educational learning counting and colours. I'm the first to want to go to grad school in my family and i have no idea where to begin. I will talk to my advisor when i get back to school but i know i should be doing some research on grad schools and the field i want to go in to. I will be graduating spring 07 with a dual major in Social Psychology but i dont know what field to go into for grad school because there are too many psych programs to choose from. if anyone could help i would greatly appreciate it!!Can anyone give me advice on how to get into grad school and how i know what GRE's to take?

Figure out what you're interested in studying. Some of the best advice I received on how to do this was to go sit in the library stacks reading academic journals. Write down the titles or subjects of the articles that interest you the most. Also write down the professor's name and their school. After you compile a nice size list, you're going to come to hopefully two conclusions. First, did you like reading all the journals? If no, forget grad school in psychology. If yes, question two is what areas do your interests lie? Are there any repeated names?
Research names of those professors who interest you. Graduate school is very unlike undergrad in that you don't just apply to the school that sounds the best, you apply to work for/under a graduate professor. Check out their website and see if they're still doing research on the same or equally interesting topics. If they are, see if they are accepting any students into their labs in Fall 07.
Sometimes, even if you've fallen in love with a particular professor's research, they aren't able to take any students during the semester you will be applying because they're lab is already full (there are a limited number of spots in every program). If you still want to work for this professor and this professor only, email them and tell them of your interest. Ask when they will be accepting new students. See if you can volunteer in their lab in the meantime (yes, this means free work, but it gives you a leg up over other applicants during that acceptance period).

Grinding is pretty straight forward, all the girl does is pretty much rub up you.. You really don't have to do anything (most guys just stand there)... the girl literally does it all. However, if you want to impress the ladies try following their movements, it'll make it more enjoyable for them and it'll look a lot hotter.
Grinding front to front involves a little more work from the guys, but judging from the question I don't think there was too much of that.

Tough to understand the situation since I don't know your background and what could be causing this. If something major has happened to you that is drastically effecting your life then I suggest talking to someone like a counsellor about it. But if that is not the case and its just a simple fact of lifes kinda got ya down then this would be my advice. Figure out a way to add some positives to your life. Do something that will help others. Feed off of the joy you know you've brought them by helping. Or just plain and simply pick up some hobbies that will interest you or allow you to accomplish things that will help you feel better about yourself. Join a soccer team, volunteer for something, or even maybe just plain and simply build something. Set realistic goals and accomplish them. Whenever you feel this way don't sit back and let the negativity you are feeling get the best of you. Fight back. Live life to the fullest! I think that's normal, friend. An old teacher once gave me some really good advice, because i was depressed a lot at your age. He said to me that he who is happy in youth is not living a thoughtful life.
I think that life can be terribly difficult sometimes, and terribly sad. Part of the problem, I've noticed, is fighting the good fight. A good strategy to help is to find a really good hobby, something that you can do with your hands, and keep yourself from thinking too much. I picked up guitar for this reason, and I never regretted it.
As a final thought, for those really bad times, it is sometimes helpful to get yourself involved in someone else's story. Read a book, watch a film, listen to friends and try to think of helpful things to say to them.

It's the best time of your life, beleive me. It's also the most difficult time because you will be experiencing so many changes. You will be very confused, even frightened. This is very, very natural. Everybody goes through this stage. Relax and take one day at a time. Enjoy every moment of your precious life. You may be going through some crisis right now. But don't worry, it will soon pass by. Don't stay at home so much. Mix with your friends and engage in healthy activities. Good luck.
I Go through the same thing. I have panick attacks about dieing. If I remember correctly it started around your age with me to. What helpped me alot was medication. I was put on Prozac for it and while I was on it I thought about it alot less. I really think it will help. The only reason I got off the pills is because It doesn't bother me as much any more. If you start thinking about it, try thinking about something that will keep your mind busy for a while. I hope it gets better.

There is no such thing as death because life is merely a dream before you wake up in heaven. In this dream you experience all things and learn right from wrong. Enjoy life.

I'm 27 (and obviously ';relationship-challenged';) and she's 22.
Anyway, I got up the courage to ask her to dinner a few weeks ago, and she agreed to let me take her. I had a great time, and she appeared to have had a good time also. We've hung out every weekend since, (for a total of about 4 dates) but they've all been completely innocent (saw a movie, went for a walk in the park, got ice cream, etc). We have not kissed or hugged each other or held hands even or anything like that yet.
Anyway, I really really like this girl and I want her and I to be a couple. How do you suggest I go about asking her? I'm not very good at these type of things. How should I approach the subject of going from friends to boyfriend / girlfriend?

Part of the agenda you came into this lifetime with was to be forgiving...you already know youself as forgiveness, but 'to be' forgiving is totally a different aspect.
In order to accomplish that, someone would have to join you on this journey and do something to you--something horrible and so unlike their true Self--affording you the opportunity to be that which you desired to experience.
Recognize this being as someone who, outside of the human realm, loves you sooo much, that they became incredibly dense with negativity just for you to accomplish a personal goal.
You now have quite the challenge before you...take their gift and have it become part of who you are here, thereby reflecting that great virtue to others, or don't...your free-will choice becons!!! The part of the challenge that is even grander--let this person know that you recognize him/her as such a gift-giver...bless them/thank them--wish them ';good journey';. You have then transformed a life in your own process...you will have fulfilled your promise to them for having joined you.
There's a very true saying that changes the perspective of ';human'; nature to the realtiy of Nature--';I send you nothing but Angels';.

Well i recently learnt that for thirty days you must write a list of all the good qualities that persons has. Then you must look at the person in reference to the list. It may take sometime but eventually you will look at that person in a positive light.
If you can't get over something and they are important in your life,sometimes you have to just go around it so that you can put it behind you.Think of the good they bring to your life and it may over power what is bothering you!!
Forgiveness comes from the heart. So first you must forgive from your heart and do not hold grudges.
You could also give them a gift.
If they are deceased, pray for them and be kind and loving to their families.
1. Try putting yourself in their shoes.
2. You will feel better if you let it go and forgive them.
3. Maybe someday you will need forgiving.
Hope that helps

Cesar Milan (The Dog Whisperer) suggests that just before you take your dog to the vet, you take her for a LONG walk to burn off her excess energy. Riding in the car usually gets dogs all excited to begin with, so a long walk (about 60 minutes) will drain some of that energy. He also suggests that if your dog is usually apprehensive about going to the vet (understandably), you take the dog over a few times just for social visits so she gets the idea that a vet's office isn't always a bad place to be.
Hopefully, you will be in the vets office with your pup to make sure that she stays calm and sees her ';mom'; there with her. Ask the vet to show you how to trim the nails. You'll save LOTS of money and the vet will appreciate it, too. It's also a good way to ';bond'; with your pup.

i found that if I leave the groomer or vet and it is just them and my dog it goes much better if i am there my dog will cry and fuss like he is being abused. he does this at home also when my daughter grooms him they are fine together but once he sees me it MOMMMMMMMMMMy help. i think that is called one spoiled puppy. good advise from others so good luck with this I know i can be a chore to get them cut and yes once they have had a bad experience it is hard to get them over it.
if she was trained from very young to have her fur/nails trimmed, it'd be a breeze to do this, even without having to go to the vet. I trim my cat's/dog's fur/nails - no problem at all. And save a lot of $$ too
yes, learn to do it yourself at home. Take time to get your dog use to touching their feet....then ease in to possibly using a dremel. It depends on the size of dog, but at a vet they will either sedate them or chop them so short that the dog will hate going there. Try doing a paw a night and making it not so bad for them. This is why it is a good idea to start them young and do them every two weeks.....play with their feet all the time.

we had that trouble the first time we tried it the dog was calm and the cutting went off OK but the next time the vet must have cut him and he growled and the vet put the muzzle on him and things got very heated.
the next year I took him there for nail clipping and the vet said my dog was too vicious and he was only able to cut one nail so I left it at that.
Finally this year I thought I can't let this go on anymore so I had the dog anaesthetized and finally his nails are cut. they had to cut them very severly.
I don't want my dog to be vicious due to his being freaked out at the vets. I don't know what I will do next year . I'll think about that when it comes around.

To get her used to getting her nails clipped. Whenever she is resting or sleeping massage her feet and toes. This will get her used to people touching her feet and she will realize it does hurt when people touch her feet . And maybe she won't freak out every time you take her in to get her nails clipped. :) I do this with all my dogs and they all let me clip their nails without flinching. And i cut them as short as i can get them to the quick without making them bleed.
I have a dog who suffered severe nail neglect by a previous owner. I take her to the vet's office every 3-4 weeks for a trim, because there is no way I could do it myself. BTW vets don't cut them deadfully short unless you ask them to... and some even refuse to do it because of the risk of infection. It's just that I found the vet techs do a much better and much more careful job than any of the groomers I have been to. Every groomer I have seen keeps the styptic powder nearby in case they quick the dog, which they frequently do. I've never had a vet tech cut a nail too short. (Though if you find a groomer that does a good job, great, because they usually charge about half as much as the vet's.)
So, what you really want to know: the first few times, they used two techs to do it. The dog was placed on her side, and one of the techs covered her head with a towel and held her down. I had never heard of anyone doing this, and it worked really well! They are not inclined to fight back when they are gently restrained in this way and can't see, so they have no choice but to relax and let things happens.
After a while my dog got used to it enough so we don't use the towel anymore. She still doesn't like it, but she is always happy to see ';her'; tech, and though she still ';talks'; through the procedure she puts up with it calmly and willingly.

Hopefully, you will be in the vets office with your pup to make sure that she stays calm and sees her ';mom'; there with her. Ask the vet to show you how to trim the nails. You'll save LOTS of money and the vet will appreciate it, too. It's also a good way to ';bond'; with your pup.

i found that if I leave the groomer or vet and it is just them and my dog it goes much better if i am there my dog will cry and fuss like he is being abused. he does this at home also when my daughter grooms him they are fine together but once he sees me it MOMMMMMMMMMMy help. i think that is called one spoiled puppy. good advise from others so good luck with this I know i can be a chore to get them cut and yes once they have had a bad experience it is hard to get them over it.
if she was trained from very young to have her fur/nails trimmed, it'd be a breeze to do this, even without having to go to the vet. I trim my cat's/dog's fur/nails - no problem at all. And save a lot of $$ too
yes, learn to do it yourself at home. Take time to get your dog use to touching their feet....then ease in to possibly using a dremel. It depends on the size of dog, but at a vet they will either sedate them or chop them so short that the dog will hate going there. Try doing a paw a night and making it not so bad for them. This is why it is a good idea to start them young and do them every two weeks.....play with their feet all the time.

we had that trouble the first time we tried it the dog was calm and the cutting went off OK but the next time the vet must have cut him and he growled and the vet put the muzzle on him and things got very heated.
the next year I took him there for nail clipping and the vet said my dog was too vicious and he was only able to cut one nail so I left it at that.
Finally this year I thought I can't let this go on anymore so I had the dog anaesthetized and finally his nails are cut. they had to cut them very severly.
I don't want my dog to be vicious due to his being freaked out at the vets. I don't know what I will do next year . I'll think about that when it comes around.
So I have told you my experience but it may not have answered your question as you hoped sorry
To get her used to getting her nails clipped. Whenever she is resting or sleeping massage her feet and toes. This will get her used to people touching her feet and she will realize it does hurt when people touch her feet . And maybe she won't freak out every time you take her in to get her nails clipped. :) I do this with all my dogs and they all let me clip their nails without flinching. And i cut them as short as i can get them to the quick without making them bleed.
I have a dog who suffered severe nail neglect by a previous owner. I take her to the vet's office every 3-4 weeks for a trim, because there is no way I could do it myself. BTW vets don't cut them deadfully short unless you ask them to... and some even refuse to do it because of the risk of infection. It's just that I found the vet techs do a much better and much more careful job than any of the groomers I have been to. Every groomer I have seen keeps the styptic powder nearby in case they quick the dog, which they frequently do. I've never had a vet tech cut a nail too short. (Though if you find a groomer that does a good job, great, because they usually charge about half as much as the vet's.)
So, what you really want to know: the first few times, they used two techs to do it. The dog was placed on her side, and one of the techs covered her head with a towel and held her down. I had never heard of anyone doing this, and it worked really well! They are not inclined to fight back when they are gently restrained in this way and can't see, so they have no choice but to relax and let things happens.
After a while my dog got used to it enough so we don't use the towel anymore. She still doesn't like it, but she is always happy to see ';her'; tech, and though she still ';talks'; through the procedure she puts up with it calmly and willingly.

How to deal with unwanted advice?
Have you ever noticed if you have a new born or a child at any age for that matter people seem to think they can voice there opinions about what you should be doing? Am I the only one that is sick of this. My baby girl is 3 weeks old and people cant just keep there opinions to themselves even down to telling me how i should wash bottles! Its so annoying!How to deal with unwanted advice?

yeah, I know, they mean well. As much as you can just smile, or say ';thanks for the advice'; you're really thanking them for just thinking about you, they don't realize that everyone else on earth is doing the same thing. Or you could tell them something you read about that topic so they know you have been doing research. so just smile and go on with your life. You don't even have to consider their advice if you don't want to, but there's no point in ruining their day, they just wanted to be helpful so be polite.

Don't get me wrong, with my other 2 I tried to breastfeed and it never worked for me, so i decided that if i can i can, if i cant i cant... but people always seemed to judge me because of it, so i've learnt to react very blaze' to people when they make stupid, unthoughtful or pointless comments (such as how to wash bottles, or making references to my kids or how .what they should and shouldnt do).
Easiest way is to (at first) just let them go, nod smile and pretend you give a rats butt... then... if they keep going, warn them firmly that although their comments are appreciated, you dont need them.. and if they continue on, be very blunt. They'll soon get the idea.

Can anyone give me some advice on how to use a violin bow?
I have recently purchased a violin bow that I am using on an electric guitar, I have pretty much made it up as I go along but can someone give me some tips on how to get a clean solid note while playing up and down strokes. So far I can get a clean note until I change direction when the note always stops but I know you can play it with a technique so that you can keep the note humming, any tips?Can anyone give me some advice on how to use a violin bow?
I can't remember the technical terms (it's been years since I played) but look at the diagram in the sources link - Get the bow balanced by holding the bow in mid-air, position your little finger on the end (button in the diagram) and put your thumb on the ferrule and hold it til it's straight, then you'll feel the balance and will be able to control the pressure when you play- you'll find by feeling that the little finger generally dictates the balance, when playing adjust the pressure with the little finger while twisting a little like papergirl and whograss said and you should be able to create a clean noteCan anyone give me some advice on how to use a violin bow?

Hold the bow as you would an apple with fingertips.
First, you would need to hold the bow correctly, then apply some rosin to make sure the hair flows across the strings smoothly. And, make sure the hair is tight enough, but not TOO tight. When you place the bow hair on the string (start at the frog), make sure you press down, THEN TWIST SLIGHTLY so the hairs are spread out just a bit. Then, without varying the pressure, pull the bow downwards until you end at teh tip, very slowly for the longer notes you're hoping to achieve. Your elbow should be UP, almost horizontal to the floor. (Don't know if that makes a difference on a guitar, though).
I hope that helps somewhat. I've recently started playing the violin, so I'm not claiming to be an expert......

I have being buying a few MAC make-up items (pigments and eyeshadows) and wonder if they are fake or real. I have being trying to find out on the internet and cannot find any answers.
Should the round sticker on the top state colour or a number?
How should the barcode appear? Any other advice will be greatly appriciated. I have bought my items off Ebay, I am new to MAC make-up.

I know that I use Bee-Luscious and I bought (what I thought was a good deal) from a discounted company and I got shafted. It was NOT Bee-Luscious!!!! Even though the packaging and everything looked the same it was NOT the same product. I contacted Bee-Luscious and told them what had happened. They told me they really couldn't do anything because the other company had just enough differences to prevent them from suing and the expense of suing would be enormous.
Anyway, sorry this is so long but these scammers really pi** me off!!!!!!
BTW. I read somewhere that like 80% of the stuff bought off Ebay is fake!MAC make up advice? How to spot fakes?
MAC has a policy of throwing out any returned items. If you are buying makeup from another source, you are taking the risk of contamination. Instead go to your local department store or MAC store and buy a product that hasn't been touched by anyone else.
i would stick to buying from the mac site or stores like macys or ulta..
i havent heard of imposter makeup, but in this day and age anythings possible
you could also call mac or contact them and ask them directly that way you get the correct answer
The only way to be sure you're buy real MAC is to go to their counter in a dept store, to maccosmetics.com, or to your local Cosemetic company outlet (CCO, sells estee lauder owned cosmetics like MAC at 30% discount).

This story might be a little long. But bare with me. You have to read the whole thing to understand how crazy this man is. My dad has live in his house for about 20 years. His neighbor let鈥檚 call him Robert moved into his house about 10 years ago. At first things with Robert were fine. He was a little strange but we were all still nice to him anyway. My dad was very kind to this man. When Robert had surgery my dad helped take care of him. When Robert was about to lose his house my dad went and talk to people with him to figure out some way he could keep his house. When Robert鈥檚 cat went missing my dad helped look for it. And in return Robert has been a total Jerk! Like I said at first he was just very weird. He would watch us through his window鈥檚. The neighbor鈥檚 on the other side of my dad said you know Robert is always staring at you. He had a crush on my step mom and would always bring her cookies and such. He is just very strange. Now my parents and him don鈥檛 get a long what so ever. It all started with Robert spraying pesticides on his lawn. It was making my dad鈥檚 outdoor cat sick so he asked Robert not to do it so much. Robert intern got made and asked my dad not to park so close to his lawn. (my dad鈥檚 driveway is next to his lawn) So that is impossible. He called the cops to report that my parents have 4 vehicles. Which the cops didn鈥檛 care and it鈥檚 isn鈥檛 illegal. He said he didn鈥檛 understand why 2 people need 4 vehicles. He said no one in our family can walk on his grass. When I was 15 he got into my face when I accidentally stepped on his grass to get to my dad鈥檚 truck. When he saw that my dad was behind me he shut up quick. He broke my dad鈥檚 mirror off of one of my dad鈥檚 vehicles. His son called my dad and threaten to all my dad鈥檚 windshields. One day Robert cut down all of my parents bushes in there yard until they were basically nothing. My dad had a feeling Robert did it so he called him and basically said that wasn鈥檛 very nice. That he has done a lot for Robert and all the crap Robert has pulled lately is ridicules. And my dad said he was sick of it. And he said at least you could do is pick up all the sticks you left when you hacked my bushes. Robert said basically whatever who cares. And that the bushes needed to be cut anyway. They hung up the phone and hours went by and Robert didn鈥檛 pick up any of the sticks. So my dad picked them up and threw them in his yard. So Robert racked up the sticks and threw them in my dad鈥檚 yard, well my dad was right there and they started arguing. Then Robert picks up his Rack and starts swinging it at my dad. So my dad grabbed the rack with one hand. And then punches Robert in self defense. Robert falls to the ground. Gets up goes home and calls the cops. Well the cops come and basically tell them they need to knock it off and then left. Well my dad has been basically staying away from Robert these last few months. And Robert has been staying away from my dad. Except he still spies at them through his window. Well last weekend My husband, My daughter, My sister, Her husband, Her son, and I all went to my dad鈥檚 for a bbq. My daughter is 1 陆 and my sister son will be 2 soon. Well My daughter and My nephew kept running around and running in Roberts yard. So we would run after them and get them. But it isn鈥檛 like they knew any better. Well When my husband was running after my daughter while she was in Robert鈥檚 yard. He came out of his house and said where is Frank (my dad) And my husband goes at his house. Why? And Robert says oh no reason sticks his hands up in the air and walks back in the house. A few days later my step mom goes to mow the lawn and the lawn mower wont start. And she trys and trys and still wont start. My dad looks at it and couldn鈥檛 figure out what鈥檚 wrong. So they have someone else look at it. And they said that isn鈥檛 gas in you gas tank. And my parents are like well what is it. We didn鈥檛 put anything else in it. And the lawn mower guy goes I don鈥檛 know what it is. It could be water it could be something else but it sure isn鈥檛 gas. And it basically ruined there mower and now they have to go buy a new one. My dad knows Robert did it. He is there only enime. They mower was by the garage which is right by his house. I told my dad to call the cops. And he said there is no way to prove it. And I said well you better say something to Robert. And my dad was like yea I know but there is no way to prove it was him. And I was like well you should get him back then. Pour bleach on his lawn or something. And my dad goes that is no way to handle this situation. My dad is taking the high road. And being mature. But I think that Robert shouldn鈥檛 get away with it. After all he has done to my dad. So my sister and I want to get him back. We don鈥檛 want to do anything illegal. Fork his lawn! I had a friend take a HUGE box of plastic forks and stab them into someones yard. It killed the grass - but I don't know how long the forks were in the ground. Do it in the middle of the night and have a couple of teenagers help. Then get a lawn gnome and put it at his doorstep facing HIM just for kicks. You dont live there any more if you two do something he will just take it out on your dad and it will cause more problems for your mom and dad. I would just start being really nice to him that usually throws them for a loop and give him a cat i think he blames you guys for the loss of his cat which seems to be shortly when most of the problems started.
You could get a restraining order that states that he can't legally go on your property. if you believe that he has tampered with your stuff, you have every right to and the court would gladly give you one. Don't try to get back at him though, or they might be more on robert's side then yours. Stay like your dad, on the high road, at least until you've got the restraining order.
